Nowadays, the internet is full of oddities. But I’ve never thought I’ll find some websites all about demotivation. If you find it weird too, you must ask me: how did you have the idea of searching such websites in the first place ?

As many guys, sometimes I start to give attention to my body shape, especially that I was always a little overweight but at least I used to be active (gym, sports). Which wasn’t the case for the last year, my activity level was to low and of course, I’ve gained too much weight. And as they say: “Motivation is like a shower, you can’t just do it once and be done with it. It’s a daily process.” So I try to motivate myself everyday by watching bodybuilders videos on YouTube. There are plenty of bodybuilding youtubers who share motivational videos, you know, stuff like “my body transformation in 3…”

Anyhow, don’t you find those kind of videos demotivational sometimes ? I’m just asking. It’s not always, but some motivational videos do the opposite of their purpose for me, and let’s take for example the weight lifting videos. The music; it’s like a war or an apocalypse is on! And they show you the bodybuilder screaming loudly when lifting or squatting or whatever. Briefly, they make a very big deal of it. At the end, I’m like: shoot! why not accept myself as I am?

To keep it short, that was how I’ve had the idea to search if there was a website to really demotivate people. And guess what, I’ve found it, and not only one, but many of them. My favorites are demotivate.com and Despair.com, because they are so serious about it. Just google “demotivational” and you’ll find a bunch of them.

Here are some posters I like:

This one is freaking awesome:

Freaking awesome !
And some quotes also to demotivate the shit out of you:

“You’re not as good as you may think you are.”

“Monday is an awful way to spend 1/7th of your life.”

“The only time you win, is when you lose. Loser. ”

“For every winner there are dozens of losers. Odds are you are one of them. ”

“If at first you dont succeed…give up, because you never will ”

“Optimism – The belief that things aren’t as bad as we know they are.”

Quotes from demotivate.com
That’s it for this article, but as I’ve said, you can google more of those suff just for fun, not for demotivation. You can also share with us your point of view.
